4月6日，新華社消息，4月3日至5日，中共中央政治局委員、國務院副總理、中美全面經濟對話中方牽頭人劉鶴與美國貿易代表萊特希澤、財政部長姆努欽在華盛頓共同主持第九輪中美經貿高級別磋商。
新華社稱，雙方討論了技術轉讓、知識產權保護、非關稅措施、服務業、農業、貿易平衡、實施機制等協議文本，取得新的進展。雙方決定就遺留的問題通過各種有效方式進一步磋商。
今天美國駐華大使館在微信公眾號稱，根據唐納德·J·特朗普總統的指示，美國貿易代表羅伯特·萊特海澤和財政部長斯蒂芬·馬努欽在2019年四月三日至五日歡迎了中國的劉鶴副總理和一個中方代表團，進行貿易談判。
談判的主題包括知識產權、強制技術轉移、非關稅壁壘、農業、服務、采購以及執行。美國和中國進行了富有成效的會談，在諸多關鍵議題上取得進展。重要的工作依然存在，而牽頭人們、副部長們和代表團成員們將繼續接觸，以解決懸而未決的問題。

Statement from the Press Secretary Regarding the Administration’s Trade Talks with China
At President Donald J. Trump’s direction, United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin welcomed Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and a Chinese delegation for negotiations on trade from April 3 to April 5, 2019.
The subjects of the negotiation included intellectual property, forced technology transfer, non-tariff barriers, agriculture, services, purchases, and enforcement. The United States and China had productive meetings and made progress on numerous key issues. Significant work remains, and the principals, deputy ministers, and delegation members will be in continuous contact to resolve outstanding issues.
